Check out the collection of old adverts over at Toy Adz. They’ve got ads from the 60’s through the 80’s, which include Mattel, Gi-Joe, Hasbro, Disney, Atari, Saturday Morning Cartoons, Movies, TV, D&D, Kenner and Tonka to name a few. There’s plenty of the marketing lingo throughout these old ads which is quite funny to read. (And there’s a lot to read too.) Check out the funny Weeble ad where the guy is talking (marketing) smack.

Mr Weeble Wobble: ‘Cause I always wobble but I don’t fall down and kids love me for it… I’m a wobbly friend - rain or shine. I live in a world of fun and fantasy, not a world of quotas, allotments or ‘rainy days’.

It’s amazing how they did marketing and advertising back then (and now for that matter). Take a break from your world of quotas and allotments and take a gander at some great vintage ads - I’m sure you’ll enjoy.

Note: In the above picture Spider-man and his Amazing Friends vs the Incredible Hulk. Shirt Tales Tyg Tiger vs Thundar the Barbarian, Ookla, and Ariel. Alvin & the Chipmunks vs Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble. Baby Smurf vs Mr T. All in a Saturday morning rumble! (The 80’s were good times.)
