With it’s warm and dusty plastic smell, pseudo-wooden trim, thumb-wearing joysticks and myriad of 8-bit cartridges of fun, the Atari 2600 holds a special place in my memories. (Can you believe that it’s been 30 years since this game console first came out?) I can recall the hours I spent in front of a tiny b&w TV playing Adventure, Frogger, Pac-Man, Journey Escape, Pitfall, Donkey Kong, E.T. and Word Zapper. I wore my thumbs down to nubs and probably stunted my growth, but those were good times. :) Happy 30th birthday Atari 2600!
