Remember Archie Bunker and the old television show All In The Family? The show was pretty popular in the 1970’s and it spawned many popular spin-off shows including The Jeffersons. But did you know it had toy spin-off in the form of a baby doll? Meathead’s (Rob Reiner) boy, little Joey Stivic, was forever immortalized in soft vinyl baby form. I guess since Archie Bunker was the first character on national television to be shown changing a baby’s diaper, they didn’t think it was strange to market the toy as the first anatomically correct male doll. What an ideal selling point!
