If you remember the 1982 Dark Crystal movie, by Jim Henson, you’ll be glad to know that a sequel is in the works for release in 2008. Genndy Tartakovsky, from Samurai Jack and The Powerpuff Girls fame, is slated to be the director. With current technology, there will be less of a hindrance in freaking out little kids with creatures like the Gelflings, the evil Skeksis and their crab-like and violent Garthim foot soldiers. That’s wonderful news!
Who else recalls all the parents who brought their young children to this “muppet” movie, only to leave early with their kids sobbing and wailing? Memories…
