Poor Old Woodsy
It looks like the government wants old Woodsy to go the way of the dodo. I wonder if there’s a rivalry between the old Woodsy and the current slimmer, trimmer Woodsy. Why would old-school Woodsy need to be destroyed? Besides, the plumper, more jolly Woodsy is an important part of American history. Perhaps a more robust owl was not the image they wanted to portray. Bland Tomtar Och Troll
I just had to post about this exquisite artwork over at ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archives. It was created by Swedish illustrator and storybook writer, Einar Norelius. He illustrated for 43 years the yearly published story book collection “Among gnomes and trolls” (Bland tomtar och troll). While enjoying the amazing art, consider contributing to the ASIFA.
